Brushy Peak, California May 24, 2010
Our hike began under a dark gray cloudcover....
But, after hiking a couple of miles the sun began to burn off the clouds revealing the dark blue California sky.
Park boundary and sky....
The Altamont Pass is a perfect place for wind powered generators.
The vast Central Valley heats up drawing in cold air from San Francisco Bay across the Altamont Pass turning thousands of windmills.
Livermore and the Ohlone Mountains in the distance.
