Dublin Hills hike

SkyWatch Friday

The sun is about to set on a surprisingly warm and windy November Sunday.
A gusty, warm, almost hot wind blows across the grassland...
grassland formerly parched by the hot Summer, recently moistened like a sponge by a gentle Autumn rain.....

After sunset,
Darkness envelopes the Dublin Hills pasture land,
Coyotes begin howling and wailing deep in the neighboring canyons....
Cows continue grazing as their calves lie down to sleep....
Feral pigs move boldly out into the open on the grazing land grunting and rooting around,
indifferent,
yet at the same time menacingly acknowledging my presence as I hike back along the ranch road...
