Skywatch Friday California Coast

Skywatch Friday getaway roadtrip. Sometimes you just have to get away from it all. I took the day off from work and drove out of the Bay Area heading South to King City. My goal was a small mountain road that connects Ft. Hunter Liggett to Hwy 1 and Big Sur.

A dead tank on the live fire range.
Nacimiento Ferguson Rd., Ft. Hunter Liggett, CA.

The road goes through an area burned by the Basin Complex Fire of July 2008.

Big Sur Coast and an approaching Pacific storm.

Big Sur coastline and the Big Creek Bridge.

Beautiful pictures. Isn't the forest fires horrible. But they are a necessary part of nature.
