Skywatch Friday

Tilden Park, Berkeley, California
November 28, 2009
I thought it was about time that I actually post some pictures from an actual hike on Hikepix...
On the Saturday after Thanksgiving we went to Tilden Park on a family outing. It was a glorious, windy day. The skies were deep blue, not a cloud in the sky. The views were crystal clear. We visited the "Little Farm", went on a hike up to the top of Wildcat Peak, and took a ride on the steam train. It was a wonderful, relaxing, enjoyable day!

A view from the "Pine Tree Trail".
Wildcat Peak (1'211 feet), our goal for this hike.

The view looking NNW towards San Pablo Bay.

San Pablo Reservoir

Looking East to Mt. Diablo and Las Trampas Ridge in the distance.

The Golden Gate.

The tall eucalyptus trees were swaying in the wind.

Fall leaves near Wildcat Creek in the bottom of the valley.

Great series of skywaych photos. My favorite is the boy pointing to the plane.
