Skywatch Friday

November in the hills of Windemere, San Ramon, CA.
A Redtail Hawk surveys his territory from an Oak tree on a steep hillside.

Looking down on Windemere from a hilltop.

Hi Keith, thanks for the visit, my first and your first on mine. I follow your blog lists too, any relation?
Your job at the ATCT, would give you a lot of opportunities for this meme. Love your "aerial" photos. And the photos of the SFO bridge is gorgeous!

An oak on a ridge with a redtail hawk. Perfect California shot.

That first shot is amazing with the knarled old oak almost climbing up the hill and providing a hunting perch for the Redtail.
Your header shot looks like Death Valley. Was just there and it's awesome.
